This winter proposal in Telluride at the San Sophia Overlook, despite the snowstorm, went off without a hitch. I was worried about the snow as I hid out and waited for Tarkan and Amanda to ride up the Gondola from Telluride. I had talked to and convinced the gondola operators to let me and them out to photograph the proposal. They were wonderful and very cooperative and helpful. As the only other person on the ski area at that time, I had to make up some story about how I was waiting for a bride and groom to show up to photograph. Amanda bought it and I proceeded to photograph their elopement in the snow. It went great and with Amanda’s red jacket combined with the mystical vibe from the snowstorm, the resulting photos give you that nice, warm and fuzzy feeling.
